RydTime — Privacy Policy

RydTime is a WhatsApp-based assistant that helps motorcycle riders plan trips to Leh-Ladakh and Spiti Valley.

This policy explains, in plain language, what information RydTime collects when you use it, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We've tried to keep it honest and easy to understand.

Who we are

RydTime ("we", "us") is a trip-planning assistant operated as an independent service in India. You interact with RydTime by messaging it on WhatsApp. For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at team.rydtime@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you message RydTime on WhatsApp, we collect and store:

• Your WhatsApp phone number — this is how WhatsApp identifies you and how RydTime knows who to reply to.
• Your WhatsApp profile name — as shared by WhatsApp.
• The messages you send and the replies RydTime sends — your questions and our answers, so the assistant can respond, follow the conversation, and improve.
• Basic usage information — such as how many questions you've asked (used to run the free trial and any plans).
• Payment records — if you purchase a pass, our payment provider (Razorpay) processes the transaction. We keep a record that a payment was made and which plan it relates to. We do not store your card or bank details — those are handled securely by the payment provider.

We do not ask you to create an account, give an email address, or fill in any forms. We only receive what you send us through WhatsApp.

Why we collect it

• To answer your trip-planning questions and hold a useful conversation.
• To run the service (free trial limits, plans, and payments).
• To improve RydTime — we review questions to find gaps and make the assistant more helpful for riders. Your questions help us improve the service for everyone.

How we use and protect your information

• Your messages are sent over WhatsApp, which is end-to-end encrypted in transit. Once received, your data is processed and stored on secure cloud services we use to run RydTime.
• To generate answers, the content of your questions may be processed by a third-party AI service (Google's Gemini). This is used only to produce your reply.
• We use trusted service providers to operate RydTime, including cloud hosting and database services (Supabase), the AI service (Google Gemini), the messaging platform (WhatsApp / Meta), and the payment provider (Razorpay). These providers process data only to help us run the service.

What we will never do

• We will never sell your personal data to anyone.
• We will never show you third-party advertising inside RydTime.
• We will never share your data except with the service providers needed to run RydTime, or where required by law.

Your choices and rights

You can stop using RydTime at any time by simply not messaging it. If you would like us to delete the information we hold about you, or if you have any questions about your data, contact us at team.rydtime@gmail.com and we will help.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to run the service and improve it. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove it from our active systems, except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, payment records) by law.

Children

RydTime is intended for adults planning motorcycle trips. It is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
